HOW TO PLAY:

In order to play, the patrons will use little plastic rings to gently toss towards the upright pegs. The purpose is to “ring” as many pegs as possible with a limited amount of toss attempts. Once each player and finished, the person with the most “ringers” wins the competition!

The historical consensus is that Ring Toss, or then known as “Quoits”, was invented in the first few centuries by either the Romans or Greeks by throwing metal, ropes and rings at targets. At some point in the Middle Ages, it morphed into the more familiar version of game that we see today. Eventually, in the late 19th century the game’s popularity began to flourish in England, with official rules being standardized and published in a magazine called “The Field” in April of 1881.
